US Accounting - Lead

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Accounting Lead to oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls for our US operations. This role requires strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and best practices in financial management. The ideal candidate will lead a team and collaborate.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage audits, including external, internal, and tax audits.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Assign tasks and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.

Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure data accuracy and prevent errors.
• Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Technology & Process Improvement
• Optimize accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with finance, operations, and executive teams to provide actionable insights.
• Serve as the point of contact for US-based financial matters.

Skills:

1. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)

2. Proven experience with US GAAP and federal/state tax regulations

3. Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,740.55 - ₹42,675.11 per month
