Job Summary

The Underwriting Coordinator is a critical member of the Underwriting Team. As the most senior role within the underwriting support function, the Coordinator ensures smooth operational workflows, supports underwriters, and contributes directly to the evaluation and assessment of rental applications. This position requires keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a deep sense of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and analyzing rental applications for completeness and accuracy
• Conduct research and compile relevant data to support risk assessment and decision-making
• Execute all policy and procedural updates per the underwriting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Communicate with renters, property managers, and internal teams to gather missing information and clarify application details
• Maintain clear and accurate records and notes on all applications reviewed
• Serve as a senior member of the support team, helping ensure efficient workflow and high-quality underwriting support

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Access to a personal laptop and reliable internet connection
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including some weekends
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Background or knowledge in banking, insurance, or underwriting
• Experience in customer support or CX software tools
