We are looking for a Underwriter for one of our esteemed clients in Pune and Chennai having experience with US Residential Mortgage Underwriter

Exp: - 4 + Years

Location: Pune / Chennai

Shifts - Rotational Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Review and underwrite conventional, FHA, VA, and other residential mortgage loan applications.

Evaluate borrower’s financial documents including income, assets, credit reports, and employment history.

Assess property appraisal reports to confirm market value and collateral acceptability.

Ensure all loans meet investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA) and internal company policies.

Perform detailed analysis of loan risk, debt-to-income (DTI) ratios, loan-to-value (LTV), and other key financial metrics.

Identify and request additional documentation from loan processors when needed.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations (TRID, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).

Communicate underwriting decisions (approval, suspension, denial) clearly and in a timely manner.

Work closely with loan processors, loan officers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth loan closure.
