Underwriter

As an Infrastructure Finance (IF) and Clean Energy Finance (CEF) Underwriter, you will cover large and complex products globally and manage the credit review process. Your role involves delivering best-in-class credit risk analysis, monitoring, and credit administration as a partner to Risk and Banking shared commitment to ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending across ICM. Key Responsibilities: - Assess the credit and financial strength of Citis IF and CEF clients through fundamental credit analysis, including detailed financial analysis and identifying prevailing risk factors. - Complete Credit Analysis Write-up Memos and Final Obligor Risk Ratings based on independent assessments and judgment completed on due diligence of clients and industry knowledge. - Continuously monitor the covered portfolio, including industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalate potential credit issues to Team Leads, Risk and Banking partners. - Run financial modeling of IF and CEF clients to provide a view of projected cash flow profile and Enterprise Valuation. - Review and provide recommendations on the risk rating across this sector. - Maintain compliance with bank credit policies/practices and regulatory policies. Qualifications: Risk & Credit Underwriting: - Possess well-developed analytical skills and understanding of key financial statements and accounting. - Form independent opinions on credit and recognize emerging risks. - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of financial statements and GAAP accounting or similar governance. - Have a solid understanding of Credit Policy and procedures. - Demonstrate the ability to identify potential risk issues that need escalation and escalate them promptly.
