Job Description

As a Travel Sales Head (M.I.C.E.) at Medallin Sports in Gurugram, you will be leading the B2B and corporate sales efforts in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions segment. Your role will involve driving business development across various client sectors, identifying high-value opportunities, and developing strategic plans to close complex B2B deals. You will be responsible for the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure. Building and maintaining deep, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders across client organizations will be a key aspect of your role. You will need to develop tailored travel programs aligned with client objectives, budgets, and brand ethos to ensure high retention and account growth. Working closely with internal teams, you will conceptualize customized itineraries, group movements, and thematic travel solutions. In addition to client management, you will guide and mentor junior sales staff, fostering a high-performance culture within the team. Collaboration with operations, marketing, and supplier teams is essential to ensure seamless execution of client programs. It will be crucial for you to stay updated on travel industry trends, competitive landscape, and destination innovations, representing the company at various industry events to enhance brand visibility. The ideal candidate for this role holds a Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. You should have 10-12 years of progressive experience in travel sales, particularly in the M.I.C.E. or group travel sector. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding large sales targets, a strong network of corporate and institutional clients, and excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and on-ground recce, are essential.
