Travel Consultant

As a Travel Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to consult with clients to understand their travel preferences and needs. You will be required to prepare and customize tour packages, both domestic and international, to meet the individual requirements of each client. Handling bookings for hotels, flights, transfers, sightseeing, and visas will also be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and provide after-sales support to resolve any travel-related queries that may arise. To excel in this role, you will be expected to achieve monthly sales and service targets set by the company. As such, a background in travel and tourism is preferred, with a graduate degree in any discipline, although candidates with relevant certifications will be given preference. Knowledge of travel tools, portals, and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) will be advantageous, along with proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and client interactions. Ideally, you should have 6 months to 1 year of experience in the Travel & Tourism industry, particularly in sales, operations, or consulting roles. Experience in dealing with both B2C and B2B clients, as well as creating detailed itineraries, will be beneficial for this position.
