Purpose/Objective


    The Transmission Line Manager (Site)-Tx is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of transmission lines. This role focuses on maintaining high availability of transmission lines through effective coordination and monitoring of O&M activities. Additionally, the Team Member ensures preparedness for breakdowns and disasters, leading immediate restoration efforts to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Transmission Line Manager (Site)-Tx Operational Excellence: Ensure system uptime by adhering to O&M schedules, identifying outages, and implementing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurring failures and downtime. Support asset reliability by performing condition-based maintenance, drone inspections, and predictive maintenance activities to identify and mitigate potential risks. Ensure system stability and performance by conducting routine transmission line inspections, analysing fault records, and implementing timely corrective actions to minimize disruptions and achieve performance targets. Support asset integration by assisting in Hand Over Take Over (HoTo) processes, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards during transitions. Minimize disruptions by assisting in outage planning, optimizing maintenance activities, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and availability goals. Safety Governance: Promote a zero-incident culture by conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA), identifying safety risks, and implementing mitigation measures to ensure workforce safety. Strengthen safety compliance by participating in safety audits, training sessions, and awareness campaigns, ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety policies, and protocols. Support CAPA implementation by addressing safety deviations promptly and driving preventive actions to minimize safety risks and incidents across operations. Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management: Mitigate operational risks by supporting RCA for recurring challenges and implementing CAPA to ensure operational continuity and minimize disruptions. Ensure compliance with IMS, DISHA, ESG, and LAM-SAP frameworks by maintaining accurate documentation, addressing deviations, and assisting in audit readiness. Track and report data accurately to support project-related activities such as bidding, acquisitions, or legal cases, ensuring timely submission for decision-making. Technology and Innovation: Enhance operational performance by utilizing tools such as LAM-SAP, GIS, and Field Force Mobility for real-time monitoring, resource tracking, and decision-making support. Support predictive maintenance by conducting drone-based inspections and implementing condition-based monitoring to proactively identify equipment failures and improve reliability. Assist in innovation initiatives by coordinating with vendors for Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) on emerging technologies to improve workflows and site-level performance. Streamline workflows by maintaining and updating digital platforms, ensuring accurate data capture and enabling data-driven decisions for operational efficiency. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal teams to support resolution of site-specific challenges, align operational activities with project goals, and ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks. Engage with external stakeholders including vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities to resolve ROW issues, address operational concerns, and maintain alignment with project timelines. Key Stakeholders - Internal Head Office Site Stores Cross function offices & departments Key Stakeholders - External Government Authorities (Forest, administrative departments, other utilities) Private Utility Vendors / Contractors People i.e., other stake holders for ROW

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: B.E./ B. Tech. in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Civil Engineering Work Experience (Range of years): Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Transmission Line- O&M Exposure in handling Right of way issues, legal and administrative dealing at site.
