About the Role & Team

Urban Company's India business is structured around three main verticals, each encompassing several core categories. Each category functions with its own distinct user offering, dedicated supply pool, and is overseen by a specific business head.

Verticals and Core Categories:

1. Beauty Vertical:

Salon for women: Skin-care services

Salon for women: Hair, nails, and make-up

Mens grooming

Spa therapy for men and women

Treatments

2. Home Vertical:

AC and appliance repair

Cleaning and Pest control

Electricians, Plumbers, and Carpenters

Painting

Smart Locks and RO (Native offerings)

3. Products Business (Predominantly B2B Sales):

Beauty & spa products (Both OEM and private labels)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Trainer to lead all training initiatives for our Home Cooks Category. This vital role involves developing and refining training content and delivering both technical

(cooking-related) and behavioral training to our partners. The core responsibility of this role is to guarantee the high-quality delivery of home cooking services in our operational cities, ultimately ensuring

a delightful customer experience.

What Youll Do:

  • Specifically design and deliver training modules tailored for home cooks to enhance their culinary skills and professionalism.
  • Deliver practical training and support to professional partners, focusing on mastering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistently high-quality service delivery.
  • Design and continuously update training materials to ensure they adhere to current industry standards and best practices.
  • Set up quality assurance checks within the training framework to guarantee superior service experience for the customer.
  • Implement targeted training interventions and strategies designed to elevate overall service quality.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all training programs, making necessary data-driven adjustments to align with evolving business requirements.
  • Partner with various teams to accurately identify training needs and develop specialized solutions to close existing skill gaps.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in training and development, particularly for the blue-collar service sector.

What We Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably within top-tier Hotels, Facility Management, or high-growth Startups.
  • Proven expertise in the development and delivery of training content specifically for cooking staff.
  • Strong prior experience in culinary services (cooking) within a top-rated establishment such as a hotel, restaurant, or university.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams of trainers or service professionals, ideally within hotel or facilities management environments.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A strong capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and readily adapt to shifting priorities.
  • A genuine passion for driving continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
