Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Channel Marketing Executive is responsible for developing and executing channel-specific marketing strategies to drive brand visibility, distribution, and sales performance across assigned trade channels (e.g., Modern Trade, General Trade, On-Premise, E-commerce). The role bridges brand marketing and sales to ensure effective in-market execution aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement channel-specific marketing plans aligned with overall brand and business strategy
  • Customize brand initiatives to suit different channels (Modern Trade, General Trade, On-Premise, HoReCa, E-commerce)
  • Support annual and quarterly channel planning with sales teams

Trade Marketing & Execution

  • Plan and execute in-store promotions, activations, and point-of-sale (POS) initiatives
  • Ensure effective rollout of visibility tools (displays, chillers, signage, merchandising materials)
  • Monitor execution quality and compliance across channels

Sales Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales teams to drive distribution, visibility, and volume growth
  • Support new product launches with channel-specific activation plans
  • Analyze sales performance and recommend corrective actions

Budget & ROI Management

  • Manage channel marketing budgets and track spend vs. plan
  • Evaluate ROI of promotions and in-market activities
  • Optimize spend based on performance insights

Market & Consumer Insights

  • Track channel trends, shopper behavior, and competitor activities
  • Conduct store audits and market visits to identify opportunities and gaps
  • Share insights with brand and sales teams for continuous improvement

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare post-promotion and campaign performance reports
  • Maintain dashboards for channel KPIs such as distribution, visibility, and promo effectiveness

Requirement:

  • Must have a 2 wheeler and valid DL
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Marketing (ATL & BTL activities)
  • Open to travel within city
  • Must be a Graduate
