- Design and coordinate the construction of production tools including foaming molds, following global design guidelines while coordinating the interface with S&E, Production, Procurement, Quality and external Vendors.
- Manage tool projects throughout their whole life cycle, going from ideation to manufacturing and beyond, making sure effective production is achieved with minimal reject levels
Main Tasks
- Designing Cellasto foaming molds according to global design guidelines, supporting the successful introduction of new products into production phase with minimal reject levels.
- Coordinating the construction and modification of tools, managing timelines and ensuring global quality specification for tools are met.
- Support the Design review and Reject Rate meetings and provide technical insights for design optimizations, with focus in product functionality and process performance (reject levels and manufacturability).
- Support Operations in troubleshooting existing tool to minimize the level of reject rate by suggesting and implementing design optimizations, according to the global design guidelines and in alignment with S&E and Quality.
- Manage projects workflows and design documentation.
Minimum Education And Qualification Required For The Position
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical /Diploma Mechanical with a blend of professional experience that ensure success in the role.
- 3+ years' work experience with tool or product design for automotive industry in one or more of the following operations: molding (cast, injection or blow molding).
- Have a solid ability with CAD (CREO Parametric/Solid Works preferred), construction and process verification and DFM (Design For Manufacturability principles.)
