TGT Social Facilitator

Job Title: TGT Social Science Facilitator Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal Location: Attapur, Hyderabad Job Purpose: To effectively facilitate the teaching and learning of Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) for middle and secondary grade levels (typically Grades 6–8), aligning with the school’s academic vision, CBSE curriculum, and 21st-century learning goals. Key Responsibilities:Academic Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons using diverse teaching methods and appropriate resources. Prepare daily lesson plans, learning objectives, and assessment tools aligned with CBSE learning outcomes. Incorporate project-based learning, real-life applications, and interdisciplinary approaches. Design and assess formative and summative assessments in accordance with school and board guidelines. Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking. Student Engagement and Support: Encourage student participation through discussions, debates, role-plays, and field activities. Identify individual learning needs and provide differentiated support. Track and report student progress through regular feedback and performance reports. Promote responsible citizenship, democratic values, and cultural awareness. Curriculum and Planning: Contribute to the development and review of curriculum documents, unit plans, and teaching materials. Integrate technology (e.g., smart boards, digital content, research tools) to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborative Responsibilities: Work closely with grade-level and subject teams to ensure curriculum coherence. Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, open houses, and professional development programs. Contribute to school events, exhibitions, and field trips relevant to Social Science themes. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics with B.Ed. (mandatory) Minimum 2–5 years of experience teaching Social Science at the middle or secondary school level. Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment practices. Proficient in English communication (spoken and written). Tech-savvy, with experience using digital teaching tools (Google Classroom, MS Teams, etc.) Skills & Attributes: Strong subject knowledge and passion for Social Sciences. Effective classroom management and student engagement skills. Empathy, patience, and a learner-centric approach. Ability to collaborate, innovate, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
