Role Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Location: Experience Level: 3–6 years Department: Quality Engineering / Software Testing Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Automation testing, API testing, and a foundational understanding of web and API automation.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products.Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for web and API-based applications.Perform API testing using tools like Postman Experience working in Agile environments, using Kanban boards and tools like JIRA for issue tracking, sprint planning, and test management.Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts for API and web testing. Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting using tools like Zephyr .Validate backend data using MongoDB queries. Monitor application performance and logs using tools like Datadog.Understand and test systems involving message queues such as azure service bus.Participate in defect triage and contribute to root cause analysis. Document test results and provide actionable feedback to the development team.Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Automation and API testing.Basic knowledge of API and web automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, REST Assured, Cucumber). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Azure cloud knowledge Preferred / Optional Skills: Experience with Zephyr or other test management tools.Working knowledge of MongoDB and ability to write basic queries. Familiarity with Datadog or other monitoring/logging tools. Understanding of message queue systems (Azure pub/sub).Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with languages like JavaScript/Java ISTQB or other QA certifications.
