Test Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test plans to ensure the quality of our applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and a solid understanding of the software development Responsibilities : Understand product requirements, user stories, and technical documents to create comprehensive test strategies. Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using popular automation tools and frameworks. Perform API testing, UI testing, and cross-browser compatibility testing. Identify, document, and track bugs in the issue tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps). Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues and improve product quality. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives). Provide timely feedback and generate test coverage reports and Skillset Testing : Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke/Sanity Testing, Exploratory Testing, Compatibility Testing (Good to Have / Mandatory depending on level) : Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Postman Frameworks: Page Object Model (POM), Hybrid Frameworks Languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript (for writing automation Testing : Tools: Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger Test design and validation of request/response, headers, and status Testing (Optional) : Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, and DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD pipelines Integration of test cases with build pipelines Version Control & Tools: Git, Bitbucket, GitHub JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr (Test Case : Basic SQL knowledge for validating backend data across MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication Attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases Team-oriented and collaborative working style Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
