Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual and/or automation testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed test plans and test cases.

2. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

3. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (if applicable).

4. Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA / Bugzilla / Azure DevOps.

5. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.

6. Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.

7. Perform smoke testing, sanity testing, and UAT support when required.

8. Generate detailed test reports and communicate test results effectively.

9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 3–5 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).

2. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Lifecycle.

3. Hands-on experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, Cucumber/BDD, Postman, or JMeter.

4. Experience in API testing and database validation using SQL queries.

5. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

6. Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

7. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

1. Experience in Automation Frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Cucumber, Pytest).

2. Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

3. Exposure to performance testing and security testing.

4. Certification in ISTQB or equivalent is a plus.

• Monday to Friday

• Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
