Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Selenium WebDriver to validate software functionality and performance.
Create, maintain, and enhance test plans, test cases, and test frameworks to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficiency in testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, DevOps, and product management) to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Perform manual testing when necessary to validate test automation results and explore new features.
Contribute to testing of cloud-based applications and big data platforms, ensuring scalability and performance standards are met.
Implement and maintain CI/CD integrations for automated test execution and reporting.
Analyze test results and metrics, preparing detailed quality reports and recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Python and Selenium WebDriver.
Proven experience with SQL for data validation and back-end testing.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC.
Familiarity with manual testing practices to complement automation coverage.
Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data testing (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a strong plus.
Experience working with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to have Skills

Experience with
test management tools
(JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
Knowledge of
API testing tools
(Postman, REST Assured).
Familiarity with
containerization technologies
(Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of
performance testing tools
(JMeter, Locust).
