Job Description

The Territory Sales Officer (TSO) holds a key position in driving sales and distribution of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) products within the designated territory. Your primary responsibilities include developing and executing territory-specific sales plans to meet assigned sales targets for volume and value across all product categories. In addition, you will be tasked with acquiring new customers, maintaining relationships with existing accounts, and managing distributor and retailer networks to ensure timely deliveries, optimal product placement, and appropriate inventory levels. Conducting regular market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs is crucial for your role. You will also play a significant part in communicating the value proposition of company brands and products to customers, acting as a brand advocate. Planning, executing, and monitoring promotional activities, merchandising strategies, and in-store displays will be essential to maximize sales impact. Furthermore, preparing accurate and timely sales reports, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement are integral parts of your responsibilities. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across different departments within the company and ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations are also vital aspects of your role. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will be used to measure your success include sales target achievement, new customer acquisition, customer retention rate, distributor and retailer performance, market share growth, sales conversion rate, sales pipeline management, sales reporting accuracy and timeliness, and customer satisfaction score. Ideally, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field, as well as 4+ years of experience in FMCG sales with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential for this role, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in-depth knowledge of FMCG industry trends and best practices, and excellent time management and organizational skills are also required. Additional desirable skills include experience in working with distributors and retailers, as well as in brand promotion and merchandising. Holding an FMCG Sales Certification would be considered a plus for this position.,
