The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding operations involving mild steel, stainless steel, and structural fabrication. This role is vital in ensuring the structural integrity and operational readiness of marine vessel under our maintenance scope. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG/MAG welding on marine vessel, underframes, couplers, and structural components as per engineering drawings. Read and interpret technical blueprints, fabrication sketches, and welding symbols. Conduct surface preparation including grinding, fitting, and tacking prior to welding. Ensure compliance with welding procedures, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Perform self-inspection of completed welds and support third-party NDT or QA inspections.
