Job Description

The Territory Manager Sales and Distribution role involves overseeing sales targets, managing distribution channels, introducing new products, expanding market share, and fostering strong relationships with channel partners and retailers within a designated geographical area. The primary objective is to effectively implement sales strategies and enhance product availability to maximize revenue and brand visibility. Responsibilities include: - Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives. - Driving sales through distributor and retail networks. - Identifying growth opportunities within the territory. - Analyzing sales data and market trends for strategic adjustments. - Launching new products and associated marketing initiatives. - Appointing, developing, and overseeing distributors and stockists. - Monitoring distributor performance and ensuring policy compliance. - Ensuring timely order placement and replenishment. - Negotiating trade terms and resolving channel conflicts. - Ensuring adequate market coverage and product availability at retail outlets. - Conducting market visits to uphold retail execution standards. - Providing insights on competitor activities and market dynamics. - Executing promotional activities like sampling and retailer tie-ups. - Leading and supporting sales representatives or field executives. - Recruiting and training the sales team and distributor staff. - Conducting joint market visits with the team to enhance productivity. - Offering on-the-job training for the sales team to align with organizational goals. - Maintaining and submitting timely reports on sales performance, market feedback, and competitor activity. - Utilizing CRM or sales software for order tracking and customer management. - Providing inputs for sales forecasting and planning. Key Requirements: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred. - Experience: 3-5 years in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Pharma/Telecom sales, preferably in a territory or channel management capacity.,
