About the Role

Telecom QA / OSS-BSS Test Engineer

This role requires strong problem-solving ability, logical thinking, and excellent programming capability in testing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  end-to-end testing

  across Telecom OSS/BSS, Inventory, and NMS/EMS systems.
• Design, execute, and maintain

  test cases, test scenarios, and workflows

  aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Conduct

  UI and User Interface testing

  for web-based telecom applications.
• Validate

  REST APIs

  using

  Postman

  or similar tools and perform API-level regression.
• Work closely with system flows across

  Network Layers (L1/L2/L3)

  and telecom provisioning systems.
• Test and validate workflows in platforms like

  Ericsson OSS, Metasolv, NetCracker, and Cramer

  .
• Perform

  defect management

  in JIRA—tracking, logging, reporting, and driving closure with development teams.
• Work on

  microservices-based architectures

  , validating service interaction, database consistency, and logs.
• Execute

  CLI-based validations

  on UNIX/Linux systems for logs, configs, and system-level checks.
• Perform

  database testing

  using SQL queries to verify backend data accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Architecture, Product) to ensure feature completeness and quality.
• Troubleshoot and

  debug issues

  across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Ensure end-to-end ecosystem validation across multiple OSS/BSS/NMS platforms and integrations.

Testing & QA Skills

• End-to-End testing of telecom ecosystems
• Strong experience in

  QA testing methodologies

• UI / User Interface testing
• REST API testing using

  Postman

• Defect Management using

  Jira

• Good programming knowledge for test automation or scripting
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience with

  microservices testing
