Job Description

A Tele Collection Officer's job is to contact customers by phone to collect overdue payments, negotiate repayment plans, and resolve billing issues while adhering to legal and company policies. Key responsibilities include making outbound calls, maintaining customer records, meeting collection targets, and reporting on collection activities. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to handle customer interactions professionally and achieve revenue goals. Key responsibilities Debt collection: Make outbound calls to customers with overdue accounts to initiate debt collection efforts and follow up on payments. Customer interaction: Interact with customers to understand their financial situation, answer queries, and provide assistance with payment-related issues. Negotiation: Negotiate repayment terms, settlement plans, or new payment schedules with customers to recover funds. Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities, customer interactions, and payment commitments in the system. Compliance: Adhere to all applicable legal and regulatory guidelines for debt collection, ensuring ethical and fair practices. Target achievement: Work towards and meet individual and team collection targets. Reporting: Provide regular updates on collection activities, performance, and account status to the team lead or manager.
