Technician - Testing and build activities - R&D Protoshop

We're actively hiring for the position for Technician - Testing and build activities - R&D Protoshop

Job-Description:
Vehicle Build & Preparation (Proto / FE / Lifetime / Testing Teams)

• Support complete vehicle prototype assembly, body mounting, and aggregate fitment.
• Assist in vehicle setup, calibration, inspection, and checklist preparation.
• Perform mechanical tasks like tire/brake liner removal, load body removal, welding, drilling, CNC milling, lathe, brazing, and component retrofitting.

2. Instrumentation & Sensor Fitment

• Install and configure sensors (thermocouples, pressure, speed, fuel flow, strain gauges, accelerometers, rope sensors, etc.).
• Calibrate strain gauged parts (axles, u-bolts, propshafts) and manage cable routing.
• Conduct maintenance and verification of installed equipment.

3. Data Logging & Configuration

• Set up and operate data loggers (Dewesoft, IPtronics, fuel flow loggers).
• Monitor data accuracy and ensure integrity during trials.
• Document and hand over recorded data to testing engineers.

4. Field, On-Road & Test Track Support

• Travel to customer sites, dealer locations, test tracks, and on-road trial routes for testing assistance.
• Support FE trials, breakdown resolution, failure rectification, and retrofitment activities.
• Report vehicle issues, collect oil samples, and coordinate repairs with dealerships.

5. Testing & Track Operations

• Inspect RG/RR vehicles as per checklist and ensure daily readiness.
• Perform puncture fixing, tire changing, fueling/ad-blue filling.
• Execute failure identification and coordinate rectifications.
• Operate forklifts and drive heavy vehicles for material handling (as applicable).

6. Material & SAP Handling (Proto Team)

• Manage inward/outward materials, data entry, issuance using SAP.
• Operate 3DP, laser cutting machines, and support CNC operations.

Notice period with 15d-Immediate will be considered.

Required Education Background: ITI/Diploma-Fresher & Experienced [0-2Yrs]

Supervisor for ITI - 2 to 3 years of experience

Supervisor for Diploma Engineers - 2 to 3 years of experience
