Job Title: Technical Support Engineer – CCTV & Access Control

Department: Security Systems / IT Infrastructure

Employment Type: Full-time

Freshers & Minimum one year experienced candidate needed.

Job Summary

The Technical Support Engineer – CCTV & Access Control is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting video surveillance and access control systems. The role ensures system reliability, security compliance, and timely resolution of technical issues for clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

System Installation & Configuration

Install and configure CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs)

Install and configure access control systems (card readers, biometric devices, controllers, locks)

Configure network settings, IP addressing, VLANs, and PoE switches

Integrate CCTV with access control, alarm, and monitoring systems

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve camera, recorder, and access control faults

Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and bandwidth issues

Handle hardware failures, firmware upgrades, and system updates

Provide remote and on-site technical support

Maintenance & Operations

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

Monitor system performance and storage usage

Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and configurations

Ensure compliance with security and safety standards

Customer & Team Support

Provide technical training to end users and operators

Support project teams during commissioning and handover

Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for advanced support

Maintain service tickets and meet SLA requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, IT, or related field

Hands-on experience with CCTV and access control systems

Knowledge of IP networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, PoE)

Experience with VMS platforms (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Milestone, Genetec)

Familiarity with access control systems (e.g., HID, ZKTeco, Suprema, Honeywell)

Ability to read wiring diagrams and system schematics

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with biometric systems (fingerprint, facial recognition)

Tools & Technologies

IP Cameras, NVRs, DVRs

Card readers, biometric devices, controllers, magnetic locks

Network switches, routers, PoE injectors

Testing tools (multimeter, cable tester, crimping tools)

Key Competencies

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good communication and customer-handling skills

Ability to work independently and on-site

Attention to detail and documentation

Junior Engineer: Installation & basic troubleshooting

Fresher & 1 year Experienced candidates are welcomed
