Academian is seeking a highly experienced Technical Solutions Expert to work at the intersection of product, sales, and strategy , translating technical capabilities into effective, persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and solution documentation. Youll help shape how we present our offerings to clients, ensuring that every response is aligned with educational goals, technically sound, and strategically positioned. Key Responsibilities: Lead and write responses for RFPs, RFIs, and other formal proposals related to educational technology solutions Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and subject matter experts to gather information and translate it into high-impact proposals Develop technical solution narratives tailored to the needs of K–12, higher education, and workforce/corporate clients Ensure proposals clearly articulate value propositions, technical capabilities, implementation plans, development workflows, and alignment to educational standards or outcomes Maintain and manage a knowledge base of reusable content and solution templates Stay current on industry trends, EdTech standards and client needs to inform proposal strategy Support the creation of supporting materials including capability statements, case studies, technical briefs, and compliance documentation Qualifications: 10+ years of experience as a technical domain expert with time spent on proposal writing, technical writing, or pre-sales solutions writing Prior experience in the EdTech industry (K–12 or higher ed) — either in a vendor, publisher, or institutional capacity Strong understanding of technology concepts (e.g., APIs, integrations, data privacy, LMS platforms) and ability to explain them clearly to non-technical stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with EdTech standards such as LTI, QTI, Caliper, and 1EdTech Experience writing proposals for government, district, or institutional procurements Knowledge of instructional design, digital learning platforms, or AI in education Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education, Computer Science, or related field
