Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Business Development

    : Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients through networking, cold calling, field visits, trade shows, and market research.
  • Client Needs Analysis & Solution Design

    : Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and system needs. Leverage engineering knowledge to propose tailored solutions, including potential modifications or new designs, to meet their specific demands.
  • Technical Communication & Presentations

    : Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and cost-benefit analyses to a variety of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Proposal & Contract Management

    : Draft detailed technical proposals, specifications, and quotations. Lead negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and delivery to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and secure orders.
  • Collaboration & Liaison

    : Act as the bridge between the customer and internal teams (e.g., design, R&D, production, sales, support) to ensure seamless communication, product customization, and successful project execution.
  • Relationship Management

    : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle and providing essential pre- and post-sales support.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy

    : Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to provide feedback to internal teams, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to the overall sales and marketing strategy.
  • Troubleshooting & Support

    : Assist clients with technical issues, installation, and troubleshooting of installed equipment, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Education

    : A Bachelor's degree or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required. Post Graduate degree holder are also welcomed.
  • Technical Expertise

    : A strong, in-depth understanding of mechanical systems, products, and industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Sales Acumen

    : Proficiency in sales techniques, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Communication

    : Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
  • Problem-Solving

    : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify customer issues and devise innovative solutions.
  • Software Proficiency

    : Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and CAD/CAM software will be better.
  • Mobility

    : Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, conferences, and trade shows.
