Center for Technology ExcellenceLocationCenter for Technology Excellence, Bidadi, IndiaRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and curious Technology and Engineering Services Officer to join our Center for Technology Excellence. This role is crucial in identifying and implementing new technologies within biscuit manufacturing to significantly reduce manufacturing costs by optimizing labor, power, and fuel usage. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous learning and innovation in the food manufacturing industry.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Identification and Evaluation
- Continuously scan and identify emerging technologies within and outside the biscuit manufacturing industry.
- Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of new technologies on cost reduction (labor, power, fuel).
- Collaborate with local and international vendors to assess new technologies.
Project Management and Implementation
- Prepare and execute pilot projects for new technologies.
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap for vertical scaling of successful technologies across multiple manufacturing lines in India.
- Support ongoing projects and act as a project management resource, conducting project reviews and enabling project governance.
- Travel to various project sites and spend weeks or months during the commercialization phase of projects.
Expertise in Biscuit Manufacturing Technologies
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of biscuit manufacturing processes, including mixers, moulders, baking ovens, and packaging machinery.
- Focus on advanced technologies such as high-speed and flexible lines, fuel-efficient and sustainable baking technology, automation and robotics, and AI-based inspection and measurement systems.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Manufacturing Managers, Factory Managers, Regional Manufacturing Heads, Maintenance Managers, and Quality Managers, to ensure project success.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 1-2 years of field experience in a similar work environment, preferably within the biscuit manufacturing sector.
