Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in Moody’s Risk Authority (RAy) and credit risk systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that regulatory, risk, and reporting requirements are translated into effective system configurations and solutions.

Requirements

Act as the primary liaison between business users, risk teams, and technology teams for Moody’s Risk Authority implementations.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to credit risk reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk analytics.

Work with Moody’s RAy product configurations – update, test, and validate changes for credit risk reporting.

Analyze intermediate and final result tables within RAy to support reporting and validation.

Ensure compliance with credit risk regulations (Basel III/IV, IFRS9, CECL, ICAAP, etc.).

Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and testers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Create functional specifications, data mapping documents, and workflow designs.

Participate in system testing, UAT, and production rollouts, ensuring accuracy of risk reporting.

Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to support teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of Business Analyst experience in Banking / Financial Services.
  • Hands-on experience with Moody’s Risk Authority (RAy) – configuration updates, reporting framework, and data tables.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management and regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, IFRS9, CECL).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data flows, ETL processes, and reporting tools within risk systems.
  • Strong documentation skills (BRD, FSD, data dictionaries, user stories).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of Moody’s RiskFoundation, RiskConfidence, or other risk engines.
  • Exposure to credit risk modeling concepts (PD, LGD, EAD, RWA calculations).
  • Technical background in .NET / Java / ETL tools (to liaise effectively with dev teams).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based risk solutions (AWS/Azure hosting of Moody’s products).
