Job Summary

An SAP FICA (Financial Contract Accounting) Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP FICA solutions that support financial contract accounting processes. This role involves configuring SAP systems, collaborating with business stakeholders, and ensuring smooth integration with other SAP modules and external systems. Core responsibilities include gathering business requirements, designing tailored solutions, system configuration, managing data migration activities, and delivering user training and ongoing support. Responsibilities Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Working with business users to understand their financial needs and identify areas for improvement within SAP FICA. Solution Design and Configuration: Designing and implementing SAP FICA solutions, including customizing configurations to meet specific business requirements. Data Migration and Integration: Migrating data from legacy systems to SAP FICA and integrating it with other SAP modules and external systems. Testing and Support: Conducting system testing, providing user training, and offering ongoing support to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation. Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for SAP FICA configurations, processes, and user guides. Project Management: Managing and implementing SAP FICA projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Staying Updated: Keeping up to date with the latest SAP FICA functionalities, the best industry practices, and technological advancements. Required Skills: SAP FICA Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP FICA modules, including Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, Down Payments, and Credit Management. Business Process Knowledge: Familiarity with financial business processes related to contract accounting. Configuration and Customization: Proficiency in configuring and customizing SAP FICA to meet specific business needs. Data Migration and Integration: Experience with data migration techniques and integrating SAP FICA with other systems. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve issues. Preferred Skills: SAP S/4HANA: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including Fiori applications. Other SAP Modules: Knowledge of other SAP modules such as FI GL, CO, SD, and MM. ABAP Programming: Basic understanding of ABAP programming and debugging.
