Hi,
● Provide technical leadership and direction for the Platform Engineering team, setting standards for architecture, design, and implementation.
● Lead the design and implementation of core infrastructure components, including Artifactory, SCM, and CI/CD pipelines.
● Develop and maintain automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
● Champion best practices for development, deployment, and operations, and provide technical guidance to the team and other stakeholders.
● Mentor and coach other engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
● Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the platform's capabilities, performance, and security.
● Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the platform's availability, reliability, and performance.
● Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of platform services.
● Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for the platform and its components.
● Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
● 8+years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a full-stack engineering team. ● Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
● Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
● Expertise in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
● Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
● Strong experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). ● Proven track record of providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
● Experience with GitOps methodologies.
● Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
● Experience with security best practices in cloud environments.
● Contributions to open-source projects.
● Experience in a lead role on a 2-pizza engineering team.
