📋 Job Description: Team Manager - Debt Recovery Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Debt Recovery team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a proven track record in debt collection, and the skills to drive team performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Experience in managing and mentoring a team is essential. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Debt Recovery Officers to achieve individual and team collection targets. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to ensure continuous skill development. Manage shift schedules, attendance, and workflow to ensure optimal team productivity and coverage. Handle complex escalations and resolve customer/debtor complaints effectively and compliantly. Performance and Strategy: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and collection metrics daily, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement effective collection strategies and best practices to maximize recovery rates. Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management. Compliance and Quality: Ensure all team activities comply with relevant legal frameworks, internal policies, and ethical debt recovery practices. Conduct quality checks on calls and communication to maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance. Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting debt recovery operations. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven Experience: experience in debt collection/recovery, with at least [2] years in a team lead or management role. Expertise: In-depth knowledge of debt recovery processes, negotiation techniques, and legal requirements. Team Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and inspire a high-performing team in a target-driven environment. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using collection software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Preferred Qualifications Possession of a Debt Recovery Agent (DRA) Certificate from a recognized institution will be highly preferred. Experience managing teams in a Call Centre/BPO environment. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Why Join Us?
