About the Role

Team Lead – VKYC

What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire the VKYC team to deliver exceptional service and stay fully compliant with RBI regulations
• Stay updated on all RBI guidelines related to KYC and ensure your team is too
• Conduct onboarding training and ongoing learning sessions to keep the team sharp
• Monitor daily team performance, give regular feedback, and handle performance reviews
• Maintain adherence to SOPs and ensure resource availability for seamless day-to-day operations
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance speed and accuracy
• Review VKYC cases and ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant
• Step in to resolve complex cases, guide your team on decision-making, and escalate when needed
• Work closely with other departments to align on process and solve customer-impacting issues
• Share insights and reports on team performance, compliance status, and improvement areas with leadership

What You’ll Need

• A bachelor’s degree in any stream
• 1–2 years of experience in KYC/AML, preferably with some leadership or supervisory exposure
• Deep understanding of KYC processes and regulatory frameworks (especially Video KYC and AML)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Comfort with performance tracking, data analysis, and reporting (Excel skills a must)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Attention to detail and strong decision-making ability

Good to Have

• Experience working with Video KYC platforms or tools
• Certifications in KYC/AML compliance (like ACAMS, ICA)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
