We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – SAP EWM Basis to build and develop a high-performing team of SAP Basis consultants in Chennai, ensuring the stability, scalability and efficiency of a mission-critical SAP EWM platform while aligning with global business objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 6 SAP Basis consultants, ensuring high-quality support and project delivery for the SAP EWM system.

• Oversee day-to-day operations including incident management, change management and system monitoring to maintain platform stability and performance.

• Collaborate with HR and other departments on compliance, employee relations and team development topics.

• Drive recruitment, onboarding and integration of new team members as the team continues to grow.

• Set clear goals, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in service quality and customer satisfaction.

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical and operational issues, coordinating with global teams when needed.

• Foster a culture of feedback, open communication and professional growth within the team while ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.

• Support integration activities between the Chennai team and the European SAP Basis team, contributing actively to global SAP initiatives.

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with diverse, cross-cultural stakeholders.

• High level of integrity, accountability and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.

• Minimum 12 years of management and SAP Basis experience.

• Deep understanding of SAP Basis technologies, including system architecture, upgrades and performance tuning.

• Experience with ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.

• Strong project management skills and familiarity with global delivery models.
