Role Overview:

Sales Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales executives / counsellors
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets and track performance against goals
  • Conduct regular team reviews, one-on-ones, and performance feedback sessions
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members

Sales & Revenue Ownership

  • Own team-level revenue targets and ensure consistent achievement
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for education products, programs, and offerings
  • Step in on high-value or complex deals to support closures
  • Ensure strong follow-ups, pipeline management, and conversion discipline

Process & Performance Improvement

  • Monitor key metrics such as lead-to-conversion ratios, productivity, and TAT
  • Identify gaps in sales conversations and coach the team on objection handling
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams for alignment
  • Suggest improvements to scripts, processes, and sales strategies

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a high-quality, ethical, and student-first sales approach
  • Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of learner concerns
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene and reporting standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in

    EdTech / education sales

    (B2C)
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Target-driven mindset with hands-on sales exposure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with CRMs and sales dashboards
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading inside sales or counselling teams
  • Exposure to higher education, test prep, upskilling, or professional programs
  • MBA or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory)
