Role Summary
The Talent Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in attracting, developing, and sustaining a high-performing global workforce at STS. This role integrates end-to-end talent acquisition with learning, development, and career progression, ensuring that the right talent is hired, developed, and retained to support STS's growth in renewable energy industry.
The role will partner closely with HR, business leaders, and technical subject matter experts to manage hiring for niche technical roles, design scalable learning and development programs, enable internal mobility, and strengthen succession planning. This position acts as a strategic connector between talent entry, capability building, and long-term career growth across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for technical and professional roles, including Inspectors (Engineers), Project Managers, Technical Advisors, and specialist functions.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals (Naukri, etc.), referrals, and industry networks.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill technical roles within the renewable energy and technical services ecosystem.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future workforce needs, supporting workforce planning and succession strategies.
- Coordinate with external recruitment vendors to ensure quality, relevance, and timely delivery of candidate profiles.
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, salary benchmarks, industry hiring trends, and geographic hiring dynamics.
Candidate Assessment & Hiring Excellence
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess technical capability, cultural alignment, and career motivation.
- Facilitate structured interview processes with hiring managers and technical panels.
- Ensure a positive, transparent candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
- Track candidate progress and maintain accurate recruitment documentation and reporting.
Learning Strategy & Capability Development
- Design and implement learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives, technical excellence, and future capability requirements.
- Conduct learning needs analysis in collaboration with managers, HR Business Partners, and technical experts.
- Translate skills gaps into structured learning solutions, including technical, functional, leadership, and soft-skills programs.
- Develop competency-based learning journeys, role-based learning paths, and capability frameworks for technical and non-technical roles.
- Support global learning initiatives across multiple regions and functional groups.
Training Delivery & Program Management
- Coordinate and deliver training programs (virtual, in-person, and hybrid), including onboarding, leadership development, compliance, and technical training.
- Facilitate workshops and learning sessions to ensure engagement, knowledge transfer, and practical application.
- Manage relationships with external trainers, consultants, and learning partners.
- Coordinate onboarding training programs for new hires in collaboration with HR and hiring managers.
Learning Systems & Content Management
- Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including content administration, reporting, and user experience.
- Curate, develop, and update learning content such as e-learning modules, workshops, guides, and microlearning resources.
- Ensure learning content remains current, relevant, and compliant with regulatory and business requirements.
- Track learning participation, completion rates, and development progress across regions and functions.
Career Development, Internal Mobility & Succession
- Support the design and implementation of career development frameworks, including progression paths and development milestones.
- Assist managers and employees in creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for key roles and high-potential talent.
- Enable internal mobility, promotions, and succession planning by identifying readiness gaps and development needs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, growth, and professional development across the organization.
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze recruitment and learning metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, learning effectiveness, and participation trends.
- Prepare regular reports and insights for HR leadership on talent acquisition and development outcomes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve hiring processes, learning programs, tools, and delivery methods.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and data protection regulations when managing candidate and employee information globally.
Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory
- Act as a trusted talent and learning partner to managers and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with HRBPs, and business leaders to align hiring, learning, and performance strategies.
- Provide insights on skills evolution, learning trends, and best practices within renewable energy and technical services.
Employee Branding & Candidate Experience
- Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Represent the company's employer brand in all candidate interactions
- Collaborate with HR and Marketing on employer branding initiatives
- Support the creation and posting of compelling job advertisements

Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- 36 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, or an integrated HR role, preferably in technical, industrial, or renewable energy environments.
- Proven experience recruiting for niche, highly specialized technical roles.
- Strong capability in learning needs analysis, instructional design, and program delivery.
- Experience working with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and modern recruitment systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country initiatives is highly valued.
