Core Responsibilities

The System Engineer is responsible for:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup solutions.
• Handle L2 escalations from the L1 support team.
• Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and performance issues.
• Ensure daily backup job success and validation.
• Perform data restoration requests (files, databases, VMs).
• Monitor backup storage utilization and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention.
• Support DR drills and business continuity planning.
• Patch and upgrade backup infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Coordinate with L3 team for complex issues.

• Any technical graduate
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility to work in shifts

Required Skill Set

• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication

• 
  Experience with:

• Virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V
• Storage systems: SAN and NAS

• 
  Knowledge of:

• Tape libraries & disk-based backup
• Windows OS
• RPO/RTO and DR concepts

Basic PowerShell scripting is a plus

• Any technical graduate
• Good communication skills
