System Administrator

Experience:

• One to Three years system administration experience required.

Job Purpose

• Configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of various operating systems, primarily Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot client-side network connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN).
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to Desktop/Laptop Hardware, Printers, and Microsoft 365/Google Workspace applications.
• Installation, configuration, and management of Antivirus and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) software on endpoints.
• Resolving/Escalating application, system, and hardware error-related issues as required, working closely with Server/Network teams.
• We are looking for a candidate who has the hunger to learn new technology, Problem solving capacity and has a track record of being successful in this field.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of various operating systems on Windows & Linux platforms.
• Manage Windows Server Backup procedures and configuration
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to Server, Desktop, Backup & Antivirus.
• Monitoring and Managing Backups issues of servers and individual projects.
• Resolving/Escalating event error related issues as assigned by the Onsite engineers.

Operations and Support

• Perform daily system checks on key desktop applications and verify the integrity and availability of shared desktop resources.
• Perform regular security sweeps and maintenance (e.g., patching) on all endpoints to maintain a secure computing environment.
• Create, change, and delete user accounts, email accounts, and file access permissions in Active Directory and relevant systems.
• Provide Tier I and Tier II support via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person desk visits. Investigate and troubleshoot issues to root cause.
• Configure, deploy, and recover from hardware or software failures on end-user devices. Coordinate replacement or repair with users and vendors.

Maintenance:

• Upgrade, image, and configure end-user device software (Operating System and applications) per operational needs or project deployment schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory and detailed records of all IT assets (laptops, monitors, peripherals, software licenses).
• Perform routine hardware upgrades (e.g., RAM, SSD replacement) and resource optimization on end-user devices as required.

Knowledge/ Skills:

• Bachelor's degree, with a technical major (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

Communications/Interpersonal Contacts:

• Interpret and discuss technical information with end-users having varying levels of technical knowledge; regularly provide advice and recommend solutions for complex desktop problems.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to junior support staff or new hires.

Working Conditions/Physical effort:

• Occasional lifting and movement of desktop hardware (computers, monitors) required.
• Travel between company offices or sites may be required as per business needs.

Salary:

• CTC as per the industry standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
