Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Climate Change & Sustainability Intern to support research, data analysis, and documentation related to carbon projects and markets, Green House Gas (GHG) accounting, and sustainability projects. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates with basic knowledge of climate change concepts and a strong willingness to learn

. Key Responsibilities

∙Support carbon credit project research across sectors such as Avoidance And/or Removal. Required typical understanding on Renewable energy, fuel switching, waste management, biochar, biogas, energy efficiency, Agriculture, Forestry and more.

∙Assist in understanding and applying GHG accounting principles (GHG Protocol, IPCC guidelines etc.). ∙Work on various voluntary carbon Programs like CDM, Verra, Gold Standard (GS), and other standard methodology reviews.

∙Help in preparing baseline assessments, emission reduction calculations, and project documentation. ∙Compile and analyses project-specific data (fuel consumption, waste parameters, energy usage, tree growth, GIS, Remote Sensing etc.).

∙Conduct desk research on climate policies, Paris Agreement, Article 6 developments, voluntary carbon market trends, and methodologies.

∙Assist in drafting project concepts, technical notes, reports, and presentations. ∙Coordinate with internal teams for project due-diligence and data collection.

∙Maintain accuracy, version control and structured documentation for project files. Required Skills &* Knowledge Basic Technical Knowledge ∙Understanding of climate change fundamentals*, GHGs, carbon footprint, and mitigation concepts.

∙Familiarity with GHG Protocol, IPCC Guidelines, and basic emission factor concepts.

∙Awareness of carbon credit standards (Verra VCS, Gold Standard, CDM and others) and basic methodology structure.

∙Ability to read technical documents, methodologies, and guidelines. Analytical &* Research Skills *∙Strong research ability (finding and interpreting credible sources).

∙Basic Excel skills (formulas, datasets, charts).

∙Ability to work with numbers, units, and calculations. Soft Skills ∙Good communication skills (English/Hindi).

∙Strong attention to detail.

∙Willingness to learn technical concepts quickly. ∙Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently.

Eligibility

∙Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mathematics, Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Studies, Engineering, Energy, or related fields.

∙Prior exposure to climate change, carbon credits, ESG, or sustainability subjects is an advantage (not mandatory).

∙Freshers are welcome.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Up to ₹5,000.00 per month
