Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and technically inclined L1 Support team member to join our IT Production/Application Support function. The role involves basic SQL query execution, handling routine service request tickets, and performing 24x7 monitoring of production systems and applications. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 24x7 monitoring of critical applications, services, and batch jobs using monitoring tools
• Execute basic SQL queries for data validation, issue tagging, and report generation as per standard procedures.
• Handle service requests & design basic SQL queries.
• Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests using a ticketing tool.
• Conduct system health checks and routine validations as part of shift duties.
• Escalate issues to L2/L3 teams with proper analysis and logs when beyond L1 scope.
• Maintain shift-wise logs and ensure proper handover at the end of each shift.
• Follow defined SLAs and escalate any potential breaches in a timely manner.
• Document and update SOPs, and known error databases as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL / DB2 and ability to analyse data issues.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environment, shell scripting, and batch process monitoring.
• Proficiency in job scheduling & Cron monitoring
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational night shifts and support BAU operations.
