Job Title: Supervisor – Instrumentation Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supervisor for the Instrumentation Department at Bhilai Steel Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure smooth plant operations and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily instrumentation activities, including installation, maintenance, and calibration of instruments and control systems.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of plant instrumentation and automation equipment.
• Coordinate with electrical and production teams to resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain documentation of calibration records, maintenance logs, and test reports.
• Provide technical support during breakdowns and assist in root cause analysis.
• Guide and train junior technicians and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with vendors for procurement and servicing of instrumentation equipment.

Qualification:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering

OR

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a steel plant or heavy industrial environment.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
