Experience Required:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Final Quality Control in a

  PV Solar Module manufacturing industry

Job Purpose:

To ensure that finished solar modules meet all internal quality standards and customer requirements before dispatch. The role demands deep expertise in quality inspection protocols, defect analysis, process control, and adherence to Indian and International PV quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Final Quality Inspection:

• Conduct and supervise final visual and electroluminescence (EL) inspection of finished PV modules.
• Ensure all modules pass through appropriate quality checkpoints before packaging and dispatch.
• Review and approve quality documentation related to final inspection.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, ISO standards, and IEC/UL standards related to solar modules.
• Maintain documentation for compliance audits and certification bodies (BIS, IEC, MNRE, etc.).
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure traceability and compliance in product packaging and labeling.

3. Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis:

• Lead investigations for repetitive defects or quality issues at the final stage.
• Collaborate with Process and Production teams to reduce rejections and improve yield.
• Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) planning and implementation.

4. Team Supervision & Training:

• Supervise and guide a team of QC inspectors/technicians on shift.
• Conduct on-job training for the inspection team on new quality norms and defect identification.
• Ensure discipline and timely execution of inspection procedures.

5. Quality Reporting & Data Management:

• Maintain accurate inspection logs and generate daily/weekly quality reports (DPR/WPR).
• Monitor KPIs such as rejection rate, inspection time, rework %, and module yield.
• Utilize ERP/QMS tools for defect data recording and analysis.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.)
• Knowledge of IEC/UL/BIS standards relevant to PV module manufacturing (e.g., IEC 61215, IEC 61730).
• Familiarity with inspection equipment like EL testers, Hi-Pot testers, sun simulators, etc.
• Good communication skills and team management abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems, and Quality Management Software.

Working Conditions:

• Location: On-site at the manufacturing facility in Falta, West Bengal
• Shift-Based Work: May include rotational or extended shifts based on production requirements.
