Job Title

SUP-PROC-MaterialsThe Graduate Trainee in the Materials Department, designated as SUP-PROC-Materials, will play a crucial role in supporting the materials management processes within the organization. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with 0 to 4 years of experience, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pipe manufacturing industry. The role requires a foundational understanding of API and ISO standards, as well as a commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. The Graduate Trainee will work closely with various departments to ensure efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in resource management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Principal Accountabilities

Oversee the entire lifecycle of materials management from procurement to distributionbr Develop and implement strategies for inventory management ensuring optimal levels of stock at all timesbr Manage relationships with vendors negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materialsbr Utilize ERP systems to track inventory levels orders deliveries and shipmentsbr Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards including API and ISO for pipe manufacturingbr Lead with vision setting strategic goals for the department and ensuring alignment with the overall business objectivesbr Foster a customerfocused culture ensuring that all activities are geared towards meeting customer needs and expectationsbr Manage resources efficiently ensuring optimal utilization of manpower equipment and materialsbr Encourage interdependencies fostering collaboration and teamwork within and across departmentsbr Maintain a strong focus on quality health safety and environment ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulationsbr Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization leading by example and fostering a culture of excellencebr Solve problems effectively using analytical thinking and process orientation to identify and address issuesbr Be a functional expert in operation and QAQC for the pipe industry providing guidance and support to the team as needed
