This Opportunity is with a leading Defense & Aerospace company for their office in Mandya location Role: Laser Operator Experience: 6 - 9 Years Job Description: Roles & Responsibilities: Hands on experience on 3-Axis and 5-Axis Laser cutting machine operation and programming. Setting up and calibrating laser cutting equipment. Reading and interpreting complex blueprints / drawings, CAD drawings, or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions. Ensuring the quality of cut pieces meets standards and adjusting, as necessary. Hands on experience on working on stainless steel, Inconel, Aluminium, and titanium material for laser cutting. Hands on experience on doing laser machine preventative maintenance on daily basis. Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Determine laser adjustments (e.g., pierce, frequency, duty, feed, pulse) for cutting requirements to material being cut, as required. Performing quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances. Performing routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshooting issues related to machine, programming, and parts. Monitoring production processes to ensure efficiency and productivity, making recommendations for process improvements when necessary. Collaborating with team members, including supervisors, engineers, and other operators, to coordinate workflow and achieve production targets. Able to understand, interpret and corrective action on machine error. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Developing fixtures and improving processes involved with the laser cutting process. Maintaining records of production data, including materials used, quantities produced, and any issues encountered. Perform safety inspection of equipment (e.g., CO2, oxygen tanks, nitrogen tanks, helium tanks, laser room enclosure) to ensure safe operation. Participating in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of laser cutting techniques and equipment. Hands on experience on Lean manufacturing. Hands on experience on 5S and KAIZEN. AS9100, EHS, Laser NADCAP knowledge is must. Qualifications/ Requirements: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical / Production from a reputed college/university with a minimum 6 to 8 years of experience.
