Student Counsellor

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive, empathetic, and goal-oriented Student Counsellor to guide prospective students in making informed academic and career decisions. This role involves not only individual counselling but also active participation in public relations (PR) activities such as conducting school outreach programs and representing the institution at educational fairs and events. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong passion for student development and institutional representation. Key Responsibilities:Counselling & Student Support Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to prospective students regarding academic programs, career opportunities, and admission processes. Assist students in identifying their strengths, interests, and suitable academic paths. Follow up with inquiries through phone, email, and in-person meetings to support decision-making. Maintain student records and update counselling databases regularly. Public Relations & Outreach Activities Conduct structured career and academic counselling sessions in partner and target schools. Deliver presentations to school students, parents, and teachers on available courses, career pathways, and entrance criteria. Participate in educational fairs, exhibitions, seminars, and promotional events to increase institutional visibility. Build and maintain positive relationships with school counsellors, principals, and other academic stakeholders. Represent the institution professionally in both local and regional PR initiatives. Administrative & Coordination Tasks Assist in planning and executing student recruitment strategies. Coordinate with the marketing team to support outreach materials and campaigns. Prepare periodic reports on counselling activities and outreach effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field wil be preferred) Strong presentation and public speaking skills. Willingness to travel for school visits and education fairs. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during peak recruitment periods.
