Job Description

Role Overview As a Student Conversion Counsellor, your core responsibility is to engage with prospective students (leads) and convert them into enrolments across our programs: study abroad, IELTS/PTE, spoken English, personality development, soft skills, and public speaking. You must be patient, empathetic, and have great communication skills, Intermediate English understanding and communication in same is must. Prior experience in counselling or sales in the education sector is essential. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead Engagement & Conversion: o Reach out to incoming leads (via call, email, WhatsApp, or other channels) to understand their needs, interests, and motivations. o Present and explain various courses (study abroad programs, English tests, soft skills, personality development, etc.) in a clear, compelling way. o Guide students through the decision-making process, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and helping them choose the right program. o Follow up diligently on leads, nurture them through the funnel, and close enrolments. 2. Student Counselling: o Provide personalized counselling on study abroad options: universities, courses, visa process, scholarships. o Assess students’ English proficiency, career goals, and readiness for spoken English, test prep, or personality / soft-skills courses. o Help students design a study plan that aligns with their goals (IELTS/PTE preparation, public speaking, soft skills, etc.). 3. Relationship Management: o Build trust and rapport with prospective students and their families. o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in CRM or lead management systems. o Coordinate with academic / training teams to align on course content, schedules, and feedback. 4. Sales & Target Achievement: o Meet or exceed monthly / quarterly conversion targets. o Collaborate with marketing to run lead-generation campaigns, webinars, information sessions, and follow-up initiatives. o Identify referral opportunities by encouraging satisfied students to refer peers. 5. Support & Feedback: o Liaise with trainers / instructors to share student feedback, course expectations, and progress requirements. o Assist in preparing offer letters, enrolment documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed. o Provide insights from student conversations to help improve service offerings, counselling approach, and course packages. Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline; education, communications, or related fields preferred). Experience: Prior experience (1–3 years or more) in student counselling, sales, or customer service in education, training, or consultancy. Experience in study abroad counselling is a big plus. Communication: Excellent spoken and written English; soft-spoken, patient, and empathetic. Sales Orientation: Comfort with lead conversion, follow-ups, and meeting sales / enrolment goals. Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening skills, empathy, ability to build rapport. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple leads, follow-up tasks, and documentation in CRM. Tech Skills: Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office / Google Workspace, and basic data entry. Preferred Attributes (if any): Passion for education, self-development, and helping students grow. Knowledge of IELTS, PTE exam patterns, or experience in English language training or coaching. Understanding of study-abroad processes: university selection, visa application, scholarships. Experience / interest in soft-skills training, personality development, or public speaking coaching. Resilience, persistence, and positive attitude in a target-driven role.
