The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of student psychology and must be highly fluent in English communication — both verbal and written — to counsel, mentor, and inspire a diverse student community. Key Responsibilities: Student Guidance and Support Provide individual and group counselling to students facing academic, emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. Help students build self-esteem, confidence, and effective communication and coping strategies. Support students in setting academic and personal goals aligned with their strengths and interests. Mental Health and Emotional Well-being Identify signs of stress, anxiety, depression, or peer pressure, and offer appropriate support. Establish safe spaces for open dialogue and create a non-judgmental environment for students. Collaboration with School Community Work closely with teachers, class coordinators, parents, and school leadership to ensure a holistic development plan for each student. Conduct parent meetings to update on progress and discuss behavioral or academic concerns. Assessment and Intervention Maintain detailed and confidential records of counselling sessions and student interactions. Create individualized action plans and follow-up protocols for at-risk students. Workshops and Events Organize regular life skills workshops, sessions on mental health awareness, career planning, exam stress management, and interpersonal skills. Lead awareness campaigns and wellness programs across different grades. Candidate Requirements: Education: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling / Child Development / Education or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working as a school/student counsellor. Language Skills: Must have excellent command over English — spoken and written. Ability to interact confidently with parents and conduct sessions fluently in English is essential. Other Competencies: High level of empathy, patience, and active listening. Strong ability to resolve conflict and handle sensitive student issues with discretion. Team player with excellent organizational and communication skills. Culturally aware, adaptable, and supportive of an inclusive learning environment.
