Role Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer to guide and oversee structural design activities for major infrastructure projects. Based in Gurugram, this leadership role requires deep technical expertise in bridge and culvert design, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide technical leadership and direction for structural design teams working on road and rail bridges, culverts, and related structures.

· Oversee and review structural analysis, design calculations, and detailed drawings to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards.

· Lead design optimization initiatives and guide teams in developing cost-effective and innovative solutions.

· Conduct and supervise design reviews, quality checks, and engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders; represent the design team in key meetings and discussions.

· Plan and conduct site visits to assess design requirements, site conditions, and construction progress

· Ensure adherence to IRC, RDSO, and other applicable national and international design codes.

· Mentor junior engineers, provide technical training, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

· Support project planning, resource allocation, and preparation of technical proposals.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

· Around 15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, especially in bridge and culvert design.

· Demonstrated leadership experience in managing design teams and complex infrastructure projects.

· Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and MIDAS.

· Strong understanding of structural analysis methods, engineering principles, and industry regulations.

· Excellent communication, decision-making, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Proven experience working with IRC, RDSO, and other Indian standards.
