Role Description
The Group PPM team plays a key role in setting Deutsche Banks strategic direction and translating the vision into financial plans and outcomes. It performs several crucial functions that support senior management in formulating and driving delivery against DBs strategic objectives (Financial Planning & Analysis functions, including setting financial targets and developing a Group plan, financial performance updates and projections to the Management Board (MB), monthly performance management meetings, balanced scorecards to name a few). The team reports directly into the Group Chief Financial Officer and primarily operates in Frankfurt, London and Mumbai.The Strategic & Financial Analysis team, within Group Planning & Performance Management, focuses on developing bank-wide competitive benchmarking and strategic analysis to support decision making across the bank.

Your key responsibilities
Supporting in the quarterly creation of the Market & Competitor analysis presentation for the Management Board/GMC (Quarterly presentation that analyses and present DB performance vs. its peers on various financial parameters including revenues, costs, capital, balance sheet and return metrics)Creation of additional competitor analysis deliverables to support strategic decision making, target-setting, resource allocation and performance managementLiaise with divisional CFO/competitor analysis teams on various topicsContinually focus on furthering the breadth of competitor analysis topics covered by the team, by utilizing AI/ML tools, as well as a strong focus on automation of repetitive tasksDay-to-day work will involve strategic and financial analysis of our competitors and their products/services (with a view to synthesize complex information for communication to senior management) and maintaining various trackers/models with peers data to enable analysis/ usage in key deliverables of the team
Your skills and experience
The candidate should:Be a quick learner, detail oriented, self-organized, highly structured and able to work well under pressurePossess strong analytical and verbal and written communication skillsPossess strong problem-solving skills (structuring, analysis, synthesis)Be able to work as part of a global team across LDN, FFT, and MumbaiHave good knowledge and experience of MS Excel/PowerPoint & VBAHave a good understanding of the Banking industry & Bank financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, regulatory topics)Knowledge of technology & tools including Python, Power Automate, Prompt Engineering could be advantageous
