Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Stores Manager to oversee end-to-end inventory and stores operations at our 2-Wheeler Manufacturing Plant. The role requires effective management of 400+ SKUs, supervising a team of 5+ store personnel, and ensuring smooth material flow to support production, Spares and dispatches.

Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Ensure stock accuracy through proper binning, tagging, and periodic cycle counts.
Maintain inventory records in TCS iON and reconcile with physical stock.
Monitor consumption patterns, safety stock levels, and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.
Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stores operations.
Coordinate with Purchase, PPC, Production, and Quality to ensure on-time material availability.
Lead and develop the stores team (5+ members), ensuring discipline and productivity.
Control scrap handling, disposal, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and ISO/5S requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in stores efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate / Diploma in Materials Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
810 years experience in manufacturing stores & inventory management.
Strong knowledge of TCS iON / ERP systems.
Good analytical and leadership skills with ability to manage large SKU base (400+).
Experience in automotive / 2-wheeler / component manufacturing preferred.
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Inventory accuracy 98%
On-time material availability for production
Effective scrap & non-moving stock control
Adherence to SOPs, audits & statutory compliance
Team performance & productivity
