Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Industry: Automotive Electric Two-Wheelers / EV Experience: Minimum 7+ years Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior Hardware Development Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in the Automotive sector . The ideal candidate will be responsible for development and testing of EV electronic systems such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), Motor Controllers, Vehicle Control Units (VCUs), Instrument Clusters, and Charging Systems. This role involves leading hardware design, development, validation, and production readiness while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Job Responsibilities 1. EV Hardware System Design: Lead the design and development of automotive-grade electronic control units for 2-wheeler EV applications (e.g., BMS, VCU, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers). Possess the knowledge Design circuits to meet ISO 26262 functional safety standards, EMI/EMC requirements, and automotive reliability standards. CAN based architecture preparation Vehicle based. Component level MTBF validation for Vehicel PCB components(i.e BMS,VCU,DC-DC..etc) 2. System Integration & Prototyping: Interface hardware with motors, sensors, batteries, and vehicle communication buses (CAN, LIN). Oversee prototype build and bench-level functional testing of hardware systems. Support mechanical and firmware integration for enclosures, thermal management, and signal interfacing. Integration Architecture documents preparation. 3. Testing & Validation: Create and execute rigorous testing plans including environmental testing (thermal, vibration), endurance, HALT/HASS, and automotive EMC. Support vehicle-level validation, field trials, and debugging during road testing. Ensure compliance with standards such as AIS-138, AIS-004, and ISO 7637 for automotive electronics. 4. Documentation & Certification: Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications, DFMEA, test reports, and validation protocols. Support homologation and certification processes with agencies for EV electronics and safety compliance. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with embedded software, mechanical, battery, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and robust product design. Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams for DVP, DFMEA and vendor evaluation. 6. Leadership & Innovation: Drive continuous improvement of hardware design practices with a focus on cost, performance, and manufacturability. Mentor junior engineers and review hardware designs for quality and adherence to standards. Stay updated with the latest trends in EV technology, components, and design methodologies. Required Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field. 7+ years of relevant experience in hardware development, preferably in the automotive or EV domain. Strong knowledge of EV architecture and components (BMS, VCU, chargers, CAN communication). Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD) and lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.). Familiarity with ISO 26262, ISO 16750, AIS standards, and automotive development lifecycle (V-model, ASPICE). Proven experience in debugging and solving complex hardware issues in field or lab conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in 2-wheeler or 3-wheeler EV product development cycle. Exposure to thermal and mechanical considerations in compact automotive designs. Understanding of lithium-ion battery safety and EV charging protocols (CCS, GB/T). Experience with simulation tools like LT Spice, MATLAB/Simulink for system modelling.
