A Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring efficient business performance, excellent customer service, and the achievement of sales targets. The role includes managing staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation, while fostering a customer-first culture and addressing customer concerns effectively. The Store Manager handles inventory management, including stock control, ordering, storage, and loss prevention, while also conducting regular audits. They implement sales strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns, analyze sales data, and ensure the store meets company standards for cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety compliance. The position requires 3–5 years of retail or management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and retail POS systems. A bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred, along with key competencies in team building, time management, adaptability, and decision-making.
