Job Description

The role involves conducting engaging maker classes, facilitating workshops, and ensuring the smooth operation of the makerspace within the school. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in maker education, a passion for experiential learning, and experience in delivering educational programs and managing classroom activities. This position is based in Gurugram , and requires regular interaction with students and teachers, both online and offline. Responsibilities And Duties Makerspace Management Oversee day-to-day makerspace activities within the school, ensuring an engaging, safe, and efficient learning environment. Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory, ensuring timely procurement of supplies for ongoing projects and workshops. Train students and teachers in the proper handling of equipment, maintaining safety protocols at all times. Workshops & Class Facilitation Lead and facilitate hands-on workshops on design thinking, rapid prototyping, electronics, and innovation for students and educators. Conduct regular maker classes as part of the school curriculum, integrating creative problem-solving and experiential learning. Support training programs for school staff, focusing on hands-on skills, prototyping, and the safe use of makerspace equipment. Program Operations Management Conduct regular classroom sessions and observe student engagement, teacher participation, and the integration of maker activities into the schools learning framework. Coordinate with teachers, facilitators, and school administrators to ensure smooth delivery of maker education programs. Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of maker classes, collecting data through observations, surveys, and student feedback to inform improvements. Partnership & Collaboration Build and maintain collaborative relationships with school staff, parents, and local community members to enhance the reach and impact of maker education at School. Collaborate with the program design team to introduce innovative teaching methods and optimize the learning experience for students. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, design, education, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in makerspace management, education, or program operations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools (3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters) and platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and IoT. Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. Other Requirements : Passion for education, hands-on learning, and the ability to multitask while managing a dynamic maker space environment.
